Who I am

Sharon Jackson, RMT

I have been a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) since 2006. My initial training was at Northumberland Massage Therapy College, an accredited College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Prior to becoming an RMT, I was employed in Horticulture on both the Atlantic and Pacific Coasts.

I am also a Clinical Supervisor for Student Interns at a local accrediated College of Massage Therapy. I enjoy mentoring the students and helping them mature into competent and professional future RMT’s.

I offer my clients a therapeutic deep tissue massage that will leave you feeling both relaxed and invigorated. My deep tissue approach is non-invasive and is a subtle and gentle treatment to addressing and correcting underlying connective tissue and structural anomalies. I will educate you in becoming aware of what your aggravating factors are and will make suggestions as to how you can correct musculoskeletal dysfunction throughout your activities of daily living.

I believe that knowledge is power and when you have a basic understanding of anatomy and physiology you become empowered and more proactive in your personal care and well-being. This empowerment leads to a sense of self-confidence and connectedness to oneself. Our engagement and appreciation of self awareness leads us to a point of stillness, or stillpoint.

When I am not working as an RMT, I can be found attending my garden, canoeing, birdwatching, swimming, cooking, travelling, drawing, and enjoying photography.
