What you can expect at Stillpoint Massage Therapy during Covid-19

A mutually respected team effort with honest, confidential and transparent consent is essential to ensure all necessary precautions are strictly adhered to, to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

This means staying home if not feeling well, due diligence in hand washing with hot soapy water for a minimum of 20 seconds, wearing a mask covering mouth and nose, and avoid touching the face. My treatment room will have a minimum of 30 minutes between clients and will ensure full sanitization of massage table, face rest, massage oil dispensers, desk top, pens, door handles, light switch, clothing rack, and used linens to be removed and stored airtight after each client. Hand sanitizer and face masks are also available and to be applied as soon as you enter the treatment room. Thank you for your cooperation.

Recommended Practice Guidelines for Registered Massage Therapists in British Columbia Canada during COVID-19 Pandemic has been developed collating heavily from the resources available through the Public Health Agency of Canada and the BC Centre for Disease Control while considering the unique needs of massage therapy practice. The plan has been written in consultation with the Board of Directors of the RMTBC, practicing RMTs, the Executive team at the RMTBC, our insurance provider and the College of Massage Therapists of BC. This plan has been critiqued and approved by the BC Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Henry and to WorkSafeBC in order to help guide RMTs back to a safe and effective practice.
